Terms and Conditions

The terms for enrolling in MSDA classes and taking part in our competitions and workshops.

Last updated: 15 October 2026

1. About these terms

By enrolling a student, the parent or guardian agrees to these terms on the student’s behalf. Each competition or workshop may also have its own rules, which form part of these terms.

2. Enrolment and levels

Students are placed in an age band and level after a placement chat. We may move a student to a different level when it better suits their progress, after discussing it with the parent.

3. Fees and payment

Weekly training is offered only as a 12-week term package. Our courses are curated and structured, with each class building on the one before, so we do not offer single classes, monthly plans or part-terms. The term fee is shown in Malaysian Ringgit and is payable in full before the first class. A place is confirmed only once payment is received and confirmed by MSDA. Students join at the start of a term, unless MSDA agrees otherwise. Term 1 2027 classes begin on 4 January 2027 and run for 12 weeks. If a class falls on a public holiday, we will move it, so every term still has 12 classes. Each class runs with a minimum of 6 students. If a class does not reach 6, we will offer another class or a full refund.

4. Missed classes

If a student misses a class, we will try to offer a replacement slot within the same term, subject to availability, and share the handouts or slides where applicable. Missed classes are not refunded and do not carry over to the next term.

5. Withdrawals and refunds

  • Once a place is confirmed, withdrawals are not permitted, whether before or during the term, and the term fee is not refunded
  • With MSDA’s agreement, another student may take your child’s place for the rest of the term
  • If we cancel a class or event, you will receive a replacement or a refund for it

6. Class conduct

  • Students join with their camera on and treat coaches and classmates with respect
  • Students may not record, screenshot or share classes or other students’ speeches
  • Families are responsible for a suitable device and a stable internet connection
  • We may remove a student from a class for behaviour that disrupts others

7. Competitions

Competition entries are confirmed on payment. We may disqualify a team, without refund, for cheating, impersonation or behaviour that disrupts the competition. Judges’ decisions are final.

8. Intellectual property

All syllabus materials, motions, worksheets and recordings made by MSDA belong to MSDA. They may not be copied, shared or published without our written permission.

9. Photos and publicity

We may use photos, names, schools and results of students in our publicity. Parents can opt out at enrolment or by contacting us.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the class or event concerned. We are not liable for losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet or power failures.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published when you enrol applies to that term.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
